Artist Bio

Diane Sherman is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the relationship between inner perception and the external world. Rooted in a lifelong commitment to creativity, her practice is guided by curiosity, experimentation, and a desire to understand what it means to be human and fully alive.

At the core of her process is a deeply personal studio practice grounded in inquiry, intuitive mark-making, and embodied exploration. Working with movement and music, she engages the creative process physically—allowing rhythm, gesture, and sensation to shape the visual development of the work creating a dialogue between her inner experience and the external landscape.

Often developed through periods of place-based immersion, her work reflects the qualities of specific environments—light, texture, rhythm, and atmosphere—creating a dialogue between inner experience and external landscape.

In addition to her studio practice, Diane has over 30 years of experience as a teacher and facilitator, supporting others in accessing their own creative process.

She studied Art History at University of California, Los Angeles and holds a Master’s degree in Arts and Consciousness from John F. Kennedy University.
