Created during a three-month, self-directed artist retreat in Colombia, Tierra Viva emerged from daily immersion in sound, scent, color, and movement. Working in mixed media on watercolor paper, the pieces were shaped by the hills above Medellín, historic towns like Barichara and Villa de Leyva, and the vibrant energy of Bogotá. Intuitive and layered, the work reflects Colombia’s vitality—earthy, rhythmic, and luminous—inviting viewers to experience movement, warmth, and connection.
