Morning arias
valley of green alive
in song. Birds flit and fly
meet and greet.

I bend my ear to listen.
Is it a blue necked tanager?
A rufous collared sparrow?
A tropical kingbird?

It is a chorus full
of call and answer.

Time for me to join the day,
start my own morning ritual.
