TALISMAN PAINTINGS
When you feel called to do a Talisman painting, you are usually in a transformational period of your life, and the Talisman Painting collaboration is part of the process of manifesting the next chapter.
What is a Talisman Painting?
A Talisman Painting is a creative collaboration between you and me, which results in a painting that holds your intentions and what you want to manifest in this next chapter of life. The process is an intimate dance with the creative process, intuition, trust and mystery.
It is not for the lighthearted, because you don’t know what will come of the process. If you DO jump into the process, and we complete a painting (which can take from 3-6 months), you walk away with an art piece uniquely created for you done in a collaborative process that expresses your soul and supports your life journey.
Who is it for?
A Talisman Painting is for those of you who are brave enough to step into the mystery of not knowing and trust the creative process. It is a process that supports you to step into the unknown and evolve your consciousness.
Usually, you’re in a transformational time and may be going into a new chapter of life marked by a birth, a loss, or a shift of identity. The Talisman Painting is quite literally a talisman created to support your intention for your life.
How do we start?
First, we have a chat to see if we are a good fit to work together and how we communicate. If we both decide to step into this mysterious process, then we schedule the initial ZOOM call and I send you an intake form with a list of questions to answer and send back to me before we meet. In our first call, we talk about your answers, intentions and reflections. We also discuss the practicalities of the painting as well - size, color palette, where you will hang your painting alongside the meaning, purpose and intentions that will pour into the painting.
How does the process work?
This is a ritual, and after we talk, my process begins in my studio by lighting a candle and invoking my guides as well as your guides, to help us in the process of creating your painting. As I begin painting the layers of your Talisman Painting, I stay in close touch with you so you are involved in the creative process. We have meetings all along the way to discuss the process, what’s arising for you and for me and converse about the painting and the process.
When the painting is finished, when we both say, “Oh, this is it,” I create a booklet that is also a PDF of your process showing the multiple layers in your artwork and things we’ve talked about and pivotal points in the journey. You also have the option to have postcards made so you can send to friends, family or use in your business. The process of creating a Talisman Painting takes between
4-6 months.
When do we know the painting is done?
When we both feel that “ahhhhh” feeling. The feeling that says, YES, this is it. We’ve arrived together at what you want and feel. And this, my friends, can take time, so we have to be on a “universal” schedule.
Booking my time?
I only do one, maybe two of these a year. I only work on one at a time, as I am completely committed to you and your process if I’m working with you. That said, it is good to get in touch sooner rather than later to book your process if you are interested, given I only do one or two a year.
