Some Questions I’m asking

What if dogs were in charge?
Really? Wouldn’t life be filled with play,
love and cuddling?

What if people were truthful?
With themselves and one another.
Imagine the fallout and the freedom.

What if the Dalai Lama were in charge
of the world order? Would peace reign?

Would war stop?
Would he be able to transform
The world’s shadows of greed,
plunder and avarice to love,
kindness and peace?

What if there were no borders
to countries and people could come
and go as they pleased
and that people lived in abundance
worldwide not needing to move
to another country to make more
money, find security, run from war.

What if we stopped consuming
so much of the world’s resources
throwing plastic in landfills
and oceans and made things,
sang and danced and played?

What if we stopped the current madness,
turned inward and found our own peace
within?

What if?
